What to do after you finish your nutritional reset?

Last month the Ownit Rx family took on a nutritional reset--cutting out processed foods, bad oils, and bad habits.  We hope that you took part in the challenge and wanted to check in with you post reset to provide information to help you hold on to the nutritional gains you accomplished in February.

Take a few moments and reflect on how your body felt during the nutritional reset.

It’s likely that during the reset you noticed a change in energy. Perhaps, your digestion changed or your skin looked a bit clearer.  Your sleep likely got better and you had more patience for the people in your life.  Take note of all these gains. Your nutrition impacts so much of your life.  Small changes like those proposed in the nutritional reset can have a tremendous impact.  Reflect on how you felt while doing the reset.  Take note of how your body responded to you removing certain items from your diet. Build on that knowledge. Your body will tell you what foods work best for it.

Most folks come off of a diet or nutritional change and binge.  They turn back to the foods they removed and consume them in massive quantities.  Please do not do this.  Your stomach, your energy, and your waistline will suffer.  It is important to reintroduce any of the foods you cut out slowly. This will help you avoid any gastrointestinal distress that could come along with reintroducing processed foods.

Come off of your nutritional reset gradually reintroducing the foods you eliminated.

Pay attention to how your body responds to the reintroduction of each eliminated item.

Are you sluggish after eating the item? Is your stomach upset? Do you find yourself with a headache?  Does your digestion change after ingesting the item?

You will find your body will tell you whether certain foods are good for your consumption.
